Bug Host Plants

Spotting bugs have many host plants that they will feed and breed on. Here we have listed the main ones. Fruit spotting bug are primarily a fruit feeder while Banana Spotting bugs will feed on fruit and the shoots on some plants.

It is important to try and release the wasps in areas where bugs are likely to be breeeding so its good to start thinking about where your bugs are coming from at different times of the year.

Bugs will move around according to the food availability and may stay in an area for a while and lay eggs if the food is good.
